Update On Middle Grade Series & Alexandra Reads!!

Hey there and welcome back to In The Making, where I get into the details of my current non-Adulting Journals projects!

I am so incredibly excited to announce that Alexandra Reads will be launched on July 25th with my latest and greatest book recommendations. There will be no set schedule on Alexandra Reads posts, but I will be providing around one book recommendation per month. Understandably, college is going to have me backed up this next year as I still need to interview and test for a Paramedic Certification program, but I will be doing as much as my new schedule allows!

I intend on posting recommendations on books of various genres that frequent my own personal bookshelf, including nonfiction, memoirs, historical fiction, classics, and middle grade fiction, which is the perfect segue into my next topic….

As I’ve mentioned before, I have multiple YA novels in the making, but I have more recently been working on a middle grade fiction detective series! Progress has been outstanding, and I expect the final manuscript of my first novel to be finished by around Spring 2026. Of course, publishing is no doubt going to be a long and difficult process, so I have nothing to report on the actual release date of my book. However, I do intend on keeping you all posted on my progress, and will perhaps even release a few teaser pages along the way!

I’m so excited to provide the young kids of today with a new role model and a fun journey as inspiration to stay engaged in literature. With a 13-year-old Puerto Rican-Salvadorian female lead in my new series, I’m so proud to give back to my Latino community with a role model they can see themselves in, something that I always wanted when I was growing up.
